Description

This is a contracted position; Program Services Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing high-quality programs and activities aimed at improving the financial stability, economic mobility, and physical and mental health of our residents. The Services Supervisor will utilize prevention, intervention, and referrals in the social service areas of early childhood education, after school care services and programs, youth and adult development, financial education, workforce development, community building, and health and wellness. The Services Supervisor works closely with onsite Property Management staff and serves as a community ambassador and develops partnerships. The Services Supervisor maintains a direct reporting relationship with an assigned Regional Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Identify resident needs, develop individualized property service plans, and deliver quality services for residents both directly and through service partnerships.
Provide resident connection to community resources and referral opportunities, in accordance to resident surveys.
Develop an onsite mechanism to facilitate resident connection to community service agency resources and referrals, including personnel of community service providers, educational opportunities and support groups.
Maintain regular communication with external relations regarding new service partners and evaluation of service delivery by partners.
Access partner and service provider database provided by External Relations to schedule appropriate services.
Ensure service providers develop a site program schedule for residents with access to a variety of recreational, educational, and enrichment activities in support of resident needs.
Serve as community ambassador, developing relationships resulting in in-kind service/product donations and financial contributions.
Manage and monitor assigned property services budget including payroll, supplies, vendors, and fundraising.
Manage and maintain a harmonious relationship with site staff and partners.
Maintain client resident services files and database of resident contact referrals and engagement to identify trends, patterns, needs, opportunities, and outcomes of services including documentation and certifications.
Provide regular reports on activities and events and maintain documentation.
Provide/oversee After School Care Services and Programs.

Provision of age-appropriate activities and events for participants, coordinate activities to meet the developmental needs and interests of all children.
Ensure service providers are consistent with the required supervision of all children and ensure their guidance and safety during all recreational and sports activities.
Ensure service providers complete and update records on all enrolled.
Deliver Financial Literacy and Economic Mobility training.
Provide residents with opportunities for enhanced vocational and soft skills training including but not limited to resume writing, job search techniques, computer literacy, etc.
Workforce Development Assist residents with community referrals for adult education, including but not limited to ESL, GED completion, etc.
Community Building - Develop and implement a plan to provide social events and community engagement opportunities to increase involvement.
Health and Wellness - In collaboration with External Relations establish and develop relationships with health care providers and community-based organizations to provide onsite health education classes focusing on prevention and wellness management.
Must attend Company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which, from time to time, may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee's home.
Directly carries out supervisory responsibilities to effectively manage personnel in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; auditing and appraising performance; approving and reporting payroll; conducting staff meetings; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Provides overall leadership and direction through ongoing coaching and development.
Facilitates and fosters a team-based culture throughout the organization where everyone has responsibility and accountability for the success of the organization.
Takes personal initiative to source, recruit and retain staff. Assumes an active role in creating and implementing the department and association’s recruiting outreach and retention plans.
Keeps safety and risk management top of mind and puts training and plans in place to minimize risk.
Communicates to all staff and volunteers the organization’s commitment to protect youth from abuse. Responds seriously and confidentially to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and follows mandated reporting requirements related to abuse.
Performs other activities and duties as needed that address the ongoing health and well-being of our staff and members, including but not limited to housekeeping, sanitation, etc. throughout all program areas.
Develops, in coordination with the Community Program Director and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
Maintains a working knowledge of databases related to organization and program operations. Takes initiative to remain up to date on the capabilities of the systems and actively implements into branch processes/procedures.
Assumes responsibility for a wide variety of administrative, operational, and other assigned duties that benefit the workflow and quality of programs. Provides backup support to coworkers as needed.

Education and/or Experience

A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, or an Associate’s degree with combined years of experience.
2 or more years’ related experience in community programming and program management.
2 or more years of managerial experience.
A combination of experience and education will be considered.

Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community, track record of building authentic, constructive relationships with others.
Ability to commit to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
Ability to exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility, and maintain organization and detail in a changing environment.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and handle multiple projects at one time.
Must have strong interpersonal, public relations and communication skills.
Must be fluent in English/bi-lingual is preferred.
Ability to pass TB skin test and background check

Required Licenses/Certifications

Valid Dirivers license.
