Student Engagement Graduate Assistant

This OSUAA assistantship is for 24 months (June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2027)

This position is coordinating and event planning for the Student Network of the Alumni Association. Planning and execution of the bi-annual Ring Ceremony and Grad Finale events. Other duties as assigned. This position will be supervised by the Director of University Engagement

Responsibilities:

Advise student volunteers in the planning and presentation of all events for the Student Network of the Alumni Association
Lead the selection process of the Student Network Executive Team
Lead the selection process of the Student Network Board and President Partners
Coordinate with the Director of University Engagement to provide meaningful programming and networking opportunities for Student Network Board and President’s Partners
Work alongside the Membership and Marketing & Communications teams to strategize outreach to current and perspective members.
Lead the recruitment efforts for new members of the Student Network of the Alumni Association
Partner with Career Services to provide networking and career development opportunities
Plan and execute elements for the Ring Ceremony and Grad Finale events at the end of each academic semester.
Develop and maintain program budgets
Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation

Graduate Assistants in OSUAA receive a compensation below for a 24-month assistantship.

Tuition Scholarship	Up to $5,000
Parking Permit – Staff Lot Parking Pass
$16 per hour (20-30 hours per week)

The compensation for this position shall be $16 per hour (20-30 hours per week) for 24 months.

Work Environment:

The position is in an office setting within the OSU Alumni Center. Events and activities may be held outside so there will be some outdoor exposure. Position requires availability to work nights and weekends as determined by event scheduling.

Physical Demands:

Position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Position needs to be able to transport parcels, packages and other items short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up material
Position frequently communicates with staff, and must be able to exchange accurate information
Move items weighing up to 50 pounds, as needed
