The desired combination of education and relevant experience for this position includes a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of successful experience in nonprofit fundraising with a specific focus on major gifts; however, candidates with any combination of experience and education likely to provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful in the position will be considered.
Further qualifications include an understanding of homelessness and poverty and a commitment to the agency mission; deep professional experience in nonprofit fundraising and a proven track record in securing major gifts; ability to build strong relationships with donors and stakeholders; excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently to establish priorities; ability to work collaboratively and to promote team productivity; and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, donor management software (preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT), and cloud-based file sharing.
This position includes frequent statewide travel. Reliable transportation is required, with mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position with a salary of $80,000- $85,000, annualized. Generous paid time off, insurance, and retirement plan benefits include:
- 4 weeks/160 hours (accrued) vacation time, 12 days (96 hours, accrued) sick time, 4 Days/32 Hours personal Time, 12 paid holidays
