General Summary:

The Philanthropy and Foundation Programs Coordinator position advances the mission of NJ Sharing Network by increasing the level of involvement and philanthropic commitment of contributors, volunteers, recipients, donor families, hospital partners, transplant centers and the general public in our service area through Foundation programs and events. Supports and implements fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals and targets. Manages and executes special events and programs as assigned. Establishes and maintains positive and productive relationships with key stakeholders. Must be available for weeknight and weekend events. Responsible for timely compliance with all Network policies and programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

In collaboration with department leadership, manages and executes all assigned special events, fundraising events and other Foundation projects and programs, including but not limited to logistics, communications, promotions, team and sponsor recruitment and stewardship
Develops and proposes plans, timelines, and budgets for assigned Foundation programs and initiatives. Upon approval, manages the implementation and execution of these programs and initiatives
Facilitates the coordination and communications for Foundation committees, including preparing and distributing agendas, meeting materials, presentations and notes
Establish and foster relationships with key stakeholders, volunteers, board members, and the community to further Foundation programs and initiatives
Creates and utilizes key reports and data from Raiser’s Edge database and other systems
Serves as backup for gift entry, acknowledgment letters and departmental support
Participates in department and organization-wide events and programs as directed by managers
Provides additional support as needed and performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
A minimum of 2-3 years of fundraising or foundation experience preferred
Public speaking experience preferred
Experience with Blackbaud products (Raiser’s Edge NXT, TeamRaiser, etc.) is a plus
