Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland is seeking compassionate, mission-driven, and dedicated candidates for a 20 hour a week position (daytime hours) within the Pathways Peer Support Program in Ashland County. The Pathways Program provides dynamic group opportunities for adults to encourage self-growth, positive mental health and community involvement. We emphasize a person's strengths and encourage engagement with other peers in order to provide support.
Company Information:
The Pathways Peer Support Program offers peer driven groups and activities that focuses on the addressing all areas of a person's life including interpersonal relationships, life skills, spirituality, self-fulfillment and helping others. The program is funded through the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Ashland County.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with Catholic Charities staff and participants in Pathways to develop and facilitate groups on a variety of topics including (but not limited to) interpersonal relationships, yoga, writing, exercise, sewing, arts & crafts, relaxation, spirituality, coping skills, hygiene, cooking, etc.
- Participate in group activities that may be in office or in the community. Provide participant transportation, if needed.
- Document participants' involvement in groups. Assist with compiling data and information for program reports.
- Assist other Catholic Charities staff with programming during Pathways hours and during planning sessions.
