Description

The Early Care and Education Initiatives Coordinator plays a key role in elevating the work of the Spartanburg Academic Movement (SAM) through strategic planning and a collective impact approach. The Early Care and Education Initiatives Coordinator will oversee day-to-day strategic initiatives of the Center for Early Childhood Success. This role is responsible for initiative management, data collection, and partnership building related to early care and education providers, parents, and community stakeholders to ensure the success of young children and their families across Spartanburg County.

Essential DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with program participants and partners external to the organization.

Develop, implement, and evaluate the CECS strategic plan, identifying opportunities for expanded impact in early care and education.
Foster partnerships with preschool to third grade partners to strengthen community collaboration.
Report and document initiatives progress to the director.
Review data and develop strategies for addressing gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement related to early care and education.
Facilitate and support evidence-based interventions to accelerate outcomes as directed.
Organize events for providers and partners to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Manage local initiatives and projects as needed.
Manage the countywide developmental screening process to ensure children receive timely assessments and support.
Support marketing efforts for various initiatives.

Qualifications

Education and Skills Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, or another related field.
3+ years of experience leading community initiatives or programs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
Ability to form relationships with stakeholders and community members.
Strong project management, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated interest in the nonprofit sector and passion for community-based development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
