Payrate: $50,000- $55,000 (depending on education and experience)

Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Our Daily Bread Employment Center is looking for a Bilingual Job Readiness & Placement Specialist Specialist who provides employment counseling and training services to assist clients in achieving their employment goals. The Specialist will assist the workforce team with candidate recruitment, job development and building ongoing relationships with employers. This position will guide the employment process for candidates to obtain and maintain full-time or part-time employment when appropriate.
The work schedule is: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct a minimum of two W4Success training sessions per month at the Dundalk Support Center, with virtual options available to accommodate different schedules. Ensure that each session is tailored to meet client needs and support program objectives.
- Regularly review and ensure that the content of the W4Success training curriculum aligns with the program’s established goals and objectives. Monitor the learning outcomes of clients, ensuring that they are gaining relevant skills and knowledge that can directly impact their job search and employment success.
- Provide instructional training on key job-search skills, including resume writing, job search strategies, and interviewing techniques.
- Actively recruit job candidates by participating in job fairs and attending various community events. Ensure recruitment goals are met by sourcing diverse and qualified candidates who can benefit from the program. Regularly explore and promote job openings that meet the client skill sets and goals, ensuring the position is suitable.
- Educate employers about employing ODBEC clients, including benefits of hiring clients, highlighting qualifications, and supporting the program.
- Assist in marketing the program and services to the community and presenting information about the program to outside organizations.
- Track recruitment outcomes, job placements, and client progress, providing monthly performance metrics to leadership as necessary.
- Meet with clients one-on-one, as needed for individual job preparation. Offer appropriate coaching as needed to ensure readiness for applying, interviewing, and career advancement.
- Works in conjunction with case managers to remove barriers to employment for candidates.
- Proactively identify, recruit, and maintain partnerships with potential employers.
- Ensure clients are placed into roles that appropriately match their skills abilities and career goals.
- Continuously monitor and ensure employer satisfaction, addressing any issues as they arise through the post hire.
- Conduct in-depth meetings with clients to establish rapport, understand employment goals, and assess client’s abilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring information is properly documented; advise Program Manager of Employment Services as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, Human Resources, Business, Education or related field and a minimum of 2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous training or case management or related experience required.

Other Microsoft Office application knowledge, such as Word, Excel PowerPoint, Skype, and OneDrive desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one work site to another.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Hearing and vision abilities within normal range (corrected) to drive safely and to observe and communicate with others.
- Driving (Agency and/or personal vehicle) is required for this position. Driver must be at least 21 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence. There can be no state issued restrictions on the licenses that would impede driver’s ability to operate the vehicle as required by the Agency, and there must not be more than three (3) points on their driving record.
