As the Health Equity Program Manager with Planned Parenthood of Maryland (PPM), you will be a key part of leading community-driven initiatives to support historically marginalized communities in PPM’s service area. This position will play a critical role in researching community needs, fostering partnerships, incorporating and holding space for community voices, and collectively determining how to best focus the efforts of the PPM Delores G. Kelley Health Equity Fund and PPFA Black Health Equity Initiative.

We help individuals make informed decisions about their reproductive health, family planning options, and sexuality.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Project Management
- Along with PPM’s CEO and Director, set priorities for program operations, identify opportunities for program development.
- Implement program goals and meet agency policies, budget, and funding directives.
- Collaborate with colleagues on strategic communications related to the Health Equity Fund, including reports, white papers, presentations, and social media.
- Work closely with any relevant community, government, and nonprofit partners as needed at City, County, State, and Federal levels to identify and implement system improvements.
Community Engagement and ResearchConduct community input research to gather data on health disparities, community priorities, and project needs, including facilitating meetings, focus groups, and surveys to ensure broad input and engagement. Apply health and racial equity frameworks and trauma informed tools to planning, systems development, partnerships and engagement strategies, and evaluation.Research and report on best practices, innovations, and evaluation tools to address health and racial inequities, including Medicaid innovations.Develop indicators of success and next step priority initiatives for PPM informed by community feedback and research.
External RelationshipsRepresent PPM and cultivate relationships with collaborators in PPM’s service area, including health care and related sectors.Partner with Black-led organizations and community leaders already in the space to make programs more effective and connected.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of developed projects, including proactively soliciting participant and community feedback, as applicable.Prioritize building and maintaining a space and platform to ensure historically marginalized voices are included and valued in decision-making processes.
