Position Summary: The Digital Literacy Skills Instructor is responsible for developing and delivering engaging digital literacy training programs to partner clients in the New Jersey and New York City area. This role involves creating, revising a comprehensive curriculum, facilitating classroom instruction, and providing ongoing support to students.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging digital literacy curriculum aligned with partner clients’ needs and objectives.
Deliver interactive and effective digital literacy classes on the various digital topics including computer basics, internet navigation, email management, and online safety.
Provide individual and group support to students, addressing their questions and challenges.
Maintain accurate student records and program data.
Collaborate with program staff to identify and address partner clients’ needs.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Translate curriculum materials into Spanish for effective instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
Proven experience in education or teaching, with a focus on computer skills.
Advanced computer proficiency and knowledge of relevant software and applications.
Exceptional patience and communication skills.
Friendly and personable demeanor, especially when interacting with clients and partners.
Reliable transportation for commuting between the Computers 4 People office and class locations.
2 hours of Computers Skills class
1 hour of prep (30 minutes before class and after class)
30 minute weekly check in with Computers 4 People Program Manager.
Pay: $25/hr
This is a temporary contract position. The start date to be mutually agreed upon.
