About the opportunity:
Contribute positively to the community by assisting the coordinator with daily operations and empowering our customers in a day program centre located in North-West Sydney to achieve their life goals and embrace independence
We offer a permanent senior support worker position with a $36.46/hr pay rate + superannuation + salary packaging.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with people with disabilities, assisting them in achieving their goals and outcomes.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making - Defines the extent of problem areas and develops solutions.
- Communication - Listens effectively, conveys and receives ideas, information and direction.
- Ethical Behaviour - Ensures their dealings with all others are non-discriminatory, respectful, consistent, timely and equitable.
- Safety - Has a strong understanding of WHS principles and applies these in the workplace.
Typical duties might include:
- Working in various programs on-site (Adult Recreational, Life Skills, Work and Study and Skills for Life).
- Ability to develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their care plans, including goals.
- Empower to establish effective communication with customers using an individualised approach, using whatever means of communication is appropriate for everyone.
- Working autonomously and as part of a team.
- Engage and build relationships with external stakeholders.
- Commitment to a person-centred work ethic
- Flexibility and presence of mind to deal with change under pressure.

- Valid working rights.
- A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
- NSW Working with Children Checks NSW.
