Job / Role Description:
The Master Trainer cum Project Coordinator for
the AI Education Initiative in Telangana government schools will play a dual
role, responsible for both delivering AI education training to school teachers
and overseeing project execution across targeted schools in the Hyderabad and
Rangareddy districts. The role involves training, mentoring, coordinating, and
monitoring to ensure the smooth implementation of the AI curriculum and the
achievement of program objectives
- Teacher
Training and Support
○Conduct training
sessions for teachers on AI concepts and tools included in the curriculum
(e.g., OCR, speech-to-speech translation, object recognition, and image
generation).
○Guide teachers in lesson
planning and classroom delivery, ensuring they can confidently teach AI
concepts to students with limited or no prior computing knowledge.
○Provide ongoing
support and mentorship to teachers, offering practical tips, answering
questions, and troubleshooting any challenges encountered during sessions.
○Regularly assess
teachers’ progress in understanding AI content and adjust training methods
to meet their specific needs.
- Curriculum Delivery and Adaptation
○Ensure that AI modules are delivered in an engaging, student-friendly manner and are aligned
with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023.
○Develop and customize hands-on activities and real-world examples that make AI concepts
accessible and relevant to students’ everyday lives.
○Work with teachers to incorporate local examples and practical applications of AI, fostering greater
understanding and enthusiasm among students.
- Project Coordination and Monitoring
○Oversee project
execution across 10 schools, ensuring curriculum delivery is consistent,
timely, and impactful.
○Coordinate
logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, classroom setup, and
necessary resource allocation.
○Maintain clear documentation
and tracking of each school’s progress, including attendance, student
engagement, and project milestones.
○Conduct school
visits and observation sessions to assess program implementation and gather
feedback from teachers and students.
- Data Collection and Reporting
○Compile data on student participation, learning
outcomes, and teacher feedback, preparing monthly
progress reports for the Project Manager.
○Document success stories, challenges, and best
practices, contributing to an impact
assessment report at the end of the project.
○Support project monitoring and evaluation efforts,
providing insights for potential curriculum improvements or adjustments.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy
○Act as the primary
point of contact for school administrators and teachers, building positive
relationships to ensure their buy-in and cooperation.
○Communicate regularly with government officials, NGOs, and local stakeholders, presenting
project updates and discussing potential expansion opportunities.
○Assist in advocacy
efforts with the Department of Education and Skill Development, showcasing
the project’s impact and potential for scaling.
- Resource Management
○Coordinate with the project team to ensure sufficient materials and resources are
available for training, including digital tools, printed materials, and
relevant AI applications.
○Help teachers and students access open-source AI tools, providing guidance on their use in
low-resource settings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, or Education with a focus on STEM, or an equivalent field.
- Additional certifications in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or
Digital Literacy (e.g., from Coursera, Udemy, or reputable institutions)
are advantageous.
- 1–3 years of experience in training or teaching, preferably in technology, STEM, or
vocational subjects.
- Previous experience working in government or low-resource schools is a
plus, as it indicates an understanding of the challenges in such environments.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and platforms suitable for
educational purposes, such as OCR software, basic image and speech recognition
tools, and data annotation software.
- Proficiency in English
and Telegu, with strong communication skills in both languages.Experience
with MIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
