Job Title: NEC Supervisor (south)
Advertised Salary: £32,400 - £37,000, + car cash allowance (£4,860 p.a.) + benefits.

Remote working - base location flexible within easy access to any of our current main south Hubs:Birmingham, Hatton (Warwick), Gloucester, or Milton Keynes.

Our national Project Delivery Team are implementing reservoir safety improvement projects involving earthwork alterations to embankment dams, repair or replacement of large concrete spillways, installation of remote monitoring facilities, crest raising works, grouting projects, pipework repairs, control valve enhancement and access and safety improvements.
The NEC Supervisor will support the Trust by ensuring quality across reservoir and other priority projects; undertaking the inspection/testing of construction works, reviewing contractor’s risk assessments and method statements, and checking compliance of the construction works with the Contract Scope. This would involve providing a weekly report on the progress of construction works, the quality of the works, and liaising with the contractor over health and safety construction issues.
Between site visits the job holder would support the development of contract documents, particularly Scope and Specifications for our high-profile projects. Working with project managers, designers and our contractors to ensure clarity and compliance of contract documents, highlighting risks, quality and test and inspection requirements, before pricing and entering into contracts progresses.
- Projects ranging in value between £50k and £10M with projects of 3-month duration to in excess of 5-year duration.
- The Trust operates 71 large, raised reservoirs as defined under the Reservoirs Act, a further 11 small, raised reservoirs, with an annual capital works budget for reservoir maintenance and improvements in excess of £4M.
Location & coverage
This role will be offered on a remote working basis, with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces as and when required for team working and collaborative meetings. Travel throughout the waterway network will also be expected to enable site visits, liaise with team members, and to assess/conduct necessary improvements.
