Position Overview
The Impact Manager (IM) leads two teams of AmeriCorps members (ACMs), across two school campuses, in implementing the Whole School, Whole Child service model - to drive student and school achievement. The IM facilitates the ACM experience, skill-building, knowledge, and leadership development of AmeriCorps Members and ensures that all service requirements are met. In addition, the IM leads the Career Development Department Initiative.
The starting salary for this position is $51,000-$54,000. This is a primarily in-person role, with intermittent options to work remotely.
Job Description

AMERICORPS MEMBER PROGRAM DELIVERY & EXPERIENCE
- Lead, manage, and coach two teamsof AmeriCorpsmembers (between the ages of 18 - 25) to achieve service impact with students and to reach their leadership development potential.
SERVICE DELIVERY & IMPACT
Implement City Year’s Whole School, Whole Child whole class (tier 1) supports and one-on-one / small group (tier 2) interventions, ensuring AmeriCorps members are working with the right students, and achieving proper intervention and tutoring time with those students.
Develop and manage partnerships with school administration, teachers and staff to ensure the necessary conditions and resources are in place for AmeriCorps members to deliver attendance, behavior, and course performance interventions for students.
In collaboration with the Managing Director of Impact, Analytics point, and Impact Director, analyze student-level data to strengthen overall service delivery at partner schools.
SERVICE PARTNER MANAGEMENT
Build and cultivate strong partnerships with teachers, principals, school officials, and other key decision makers and stakeholders within the partner school.
Participation in DEPARTMENT & organizational initiatives
Participate in both individual and site-wide learning opportunities centered on Diversity, Belonging, Equity, and Inclusion (DBIE) practices.
Contribute to Impact Department operations by leading on the AmeriCorps memberCareer Development Department Initiative. This entails working with the Director of Learning & Coaching to communicate City Year resources and supports for ACM Career Development, facilitating learning and informational sessions relating to career development and advancement,participating in organization-wide calls related to Career Development,and operating as point of contact for City Year and external resources.
Assist with major site-wideevents including but not limited to: Martin Luther King Day, Red Jacket Day, Annual Gala, Graduation, and other site-wide designated events.
Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Belonging, Inclusion, and Equity (DBIE) work,including desire to continue equity-based and anti-racist learning and practices at City Year.
2-4 years' experience in Education, Youth Development,Social Work, Youth Work, or another related field
