We are currently searching for an Project Specialist II to join our team. The Project Specialist II supports Division goals and objectives by managing special projects and programs as they are approved and assigned. They will coordinate and provide analysis of procedures and workflow processes to ensure effectiveness of the projects.

We are looking for someone to:
- Assist Division management by coordinating, researching and completing special projects and programs as assigned.
- Consult with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs, objectives, scope and procedures as it relates to the projects and programs that have been assigned.
- Set clear and reasonable expectations and deadlines for projects and goals to ensure outcome is consistent with the long-term strategy of the Division. Assist in the planning of project phases and estimate impact of modifications to the time-line(s) established.
- Identify, prioritize and solve problems or conflicts in the integration of special projects and programs.
- Manage special project budgets by documenting expenses and monitoring budget to remain within limits.
- Facilitate project meetings.
- Assist in planning, developing, writing and maintaining procedural documents, instructions and functional specifications for new or modified processes.
- Implement system(s) to identify gaps and make recommendations for improvements.
- Attend conferences/seminars related to the industry to research educational resources and opportunities to enhance knowledge of current projects and for personal growth and development.
Essential Job Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Project management skills desired.
- Problem solving and analytical skills required.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to manage multiple project assignments, deadlines and changing priorities in a team environment.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal intervention from the manager.
- Ability to exhibit negotiation, facilitation, and implementation of change skills.
- Knowledge of the insurance/financial services industry is strongly preferred.
