Stanford Athletics currently tickets more than 100 regular season events for football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, baseball, softball and women’s gymnastics. In addition, Stanford Athletics tickets major tournaments and postseason events across many of Stanford’s 36 Division I varsity sports. Reporting to the Director, Ticket Operations, the Coordinator/Assistant Director, Ticket Operations & Services will serve as the ticket operations lead for Baseball, Men’s Soccer, and Women’s Soccer, providing championship-level support for championship-level programs.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Independently plans, organizes, administers and implements all aspects of ticket operations for assigned sports, to include oversight and evaluation of ticket inventory/management, seat allocation and ticket delivery.
- Conducts research and analyzes data to strategically design, recommend and implement a comprehensive ticket operations and season ticket retention plan for assigned sports.
- Contributes to season ticket renewal and seat upgrade outreach for assigned sports, and other sports as necessary.
- Responds to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with first-class customer service.
- Serve as the Ticket Office liaison with coaches, program staff, student-athletes, facilities, event managers, development and other External Relations departments for assigned sports.
- Collaborate with other members of the Athletics Department’s External Relations staff to execute a year-round marketing and communications plan for assigned sports.
- Manage box office at ticketed events for assigned sports, including setup, breakdown, and a healthy balance of hands-on participation at the windows and oversight of part-time staff during the event.
- Manages player guest admissions, recruit admissions, will call admissions, and gameday ticket sales as well as liaises with event management staff on access management.
- Oversee contingent staff during events. Regularly communicate with and schedule contingent staff members for events. Anticipate staff needs and make recommendations for staffing levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Personable, outgoing, service-oriented individual is required
- Proficiency with ticketing systems or other inventory management systems and applications is preferred, but not required if candidate demonstrates ability to quickly learn and become proficient
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Flexible schedule required, including availability to manage events that often take place on nights and weekends
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels of the Athletics Department
- Passion for and strong desire to work in college athletics
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS degree and one year of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience in ticket operations, sales or customer service functions
- Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team
- Relevant subject matter knowledge
- Ability to direct the work of others
