What You’ll Do:

The Philanthropy Officer will be responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive annual fund plan utilizing the Benevon model of fundraising in partnership with the Philanthropy team to support The Relatives’ mission. The Philanthropy Officer is responsible for all aspects of annual fund development activities including donor prospecting, donor cultivation, donor stewardship, communications plans, etc. Works closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Major Gifts Officer to move annual donors to multi-year donors. Partners with the Director of Communications, Volunteer Engagement Officer and Donor Relations Associate to accomplish annual fund goals.

Plan and execute a comprehensive stewardship and solicitation plan to include annual report, fundraising appeals, and donor communication pieces. Participate in strategy, budget, and goal setting process for The Relatives’ annual fund. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, this role coordinates closely with the entire fundraising team to achieve multiple program goals.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Fundraising, Communication, Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
3+ years related experience required.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and the Internet.
Raisers Edge experience highly preferred.
