We are currently seeking a Director of Philanthropy to join our Marketing & Philanthropy team in Seattle, WA.
What will YOU do?
The Director of Philanthropy leads the development and implementation of the Annual Fund, Planned Giving, and Institutional Giving. The scope of work includes strategic planning, donor relations, prospect research, and donor portfolio management. This position collaborates with the marketing and philanthropy team, program managers, and targeted internal or external audiences.
Pay Rate: $121,000 per year.
Work Schedule: Monday Through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee Planned Giving, Institutional Giving, and Annual Campaigns in support of Philanthropy fund raising goals.
- Develop and implement a multi-year strategy for growing and strengthening annual and legacy giving. Identify, engage, cultivate, and solicit key stakeholders to deepen their investment in Sound Generations' mission.
- Manage cost-effective fund-raising strategies that enhance efforts in building stronger relationships with donors and engaging in meaningful stewardship activities.
- Collaborate with vendors and funders who contract with Marketing and Philanthropy. Oversee foundation and third-party giving and workflows for the Annual Fund.
- Manage and grow planned giving through the research, solicitation, and stewardship of legacy giving donors.
- Ensure prospect research is conducted, goals are achieved, and results/feedback reports are developed for funders and management.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate program/department operations and donor stewardship.
- Work closely with leadership and the Board of Directors to ensure alignment, effective communication and collaboration are consistently maintained and successfully executed.
- Develop a collaborative and effective team in a healthy work environment. Supervise, train and evaluate assigned employees.
- Develop and manage assigned budgets and operating plans. Reconcile, code and approve invoices.
- Maintain legal and contractual compliance.
- Represent the organization to external stakeholders and audiences. Establish strong relationships with community partners serving diverse communities of older adults and people with disabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five (5) years related experience.
- Two (2) years' supervisory experience.
