EssentialFunctions:
•Devise, implement, andmanage effective, creative, andoften original strategies designed to individually and systematically interest, engage, and secure a wide range of key prospects to meet or exceed departmental and organizational funding goals.
•Manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects and donors that is comprised of many of the affiliate's most important relationships; works in consultation with the VP,Development, the President &CEO, and key board members and other volunteers leaders to discuss and devise individually tailored major gift strategies.
•Actas a senior leader withinthe departmentatthe directionof the VP, Developmentand providessupport in the absence of the VP, Development or as assigned.
•Implement initiatives for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, stewarding, soliciting, and recognizing gifts from individuals foundations and corporations.
•Assist the VP, Development in setting fundraising goals, creating an affiliate-wide strategic development plan, establishing fundraising systems to support the sustainability and expansion of PPHP's services, and as directed, engaging the Board of Directors.
•Assist in securing sponsorship support for special events that contribute to expanding and stewarding the donor base and raising public awareness.
•Assist in building and securing foundation and corporate support including preparation of grant proposals and compliance with grant reporting.
•Meet fiscal year Development Department's goals.
•Support efforts to raise public awareness and political influence in collaboration with the staff of Education and Training and Public Affairs.
•Provide expert advice on creation of promotional materials and marketing efforts that raise visibility and support for PPHP.
•Primary staff person for events ranging from small house parties to large fundraising events.
•Collaborate directly with VP, Development, President & CEO, Board of Directors, and Directors as appropriate to facilitate soliciting and securing private funds for affiliate-wide projects.
•Provide leadership role in assigned affiliate-wide development projects.
Motivate and coordinate efforts of volunteers, especially the work of fundraising leadership volunteers
•who are involved in raising funds and public influence.
•Analyze monthly financial reports to ensure fundraising goals are on track.
•Ensure compliance with rules and regulations governing fundraising by a 501(c)(3)organization.
•Contributes to a positive work environment by following through ontasks, taking initiative, working with the team and identifying solutions
•Adheres to affiliate policies andprocedures including meetings and training requirements, ensuring punctuality and attendance, and following personnel policies.
•The deal candidate will be a creative and self-starting individual who is energized by building relationships and is highly motivated to develop effective strategies and solutions.
Non-EssentialFunctions:
•Represent PPHP at community meetings, PPFA,and other local ,regional and state events.
•Participate on appropriate affiliate and external committees, task forces, and working groups as assigned.
•Oversee special projects as assigned.
•Prepare reports as requested.
$105,000 - $115,000 annual salary depending upon new graduate or years of relevant experience. Includes an additional quarterly incentive program.
