Job Summary
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the TechWomen program empowers, connects, and supports the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Europe, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East. Through professional and cultural mentorship and the development of impact projects, TechWomen participants gain access to global networks, resources, and knowledge to reach their full potential and become catalysts for impact in their home communities.
Manages projects, deliverables, and work plans to support the TechWomen team in each of its functional domains – participant initiatives, mentor initiatives, communications, U.S. based and overseas programming, monitoring and evaluation, and alumnae programming. Serves as the primary designer and developer of events-related programming, leading content creation, implementation, and management of participant and alumnae activities in order to meet program and evaluation objectives and ensure successful delivery of key components during the program life-cycle. Facilitates cross-functional activities, manages and distributes workload of direct reports, including all performance management objectives, and supports communications with the program sponsor and other external stakeholders. Develops and manages special projects such as sponsor reporting, external collaborations with partners such as Legacy International, and the strategy and execution of TechWomen’s MEL plan which includes the creation, monitoring and execution of a yearly strategic action plan outlining changes to program design and implementation.
Essential Functions:
• Assists Program Director in ensuring high quality delivery of TechWomen’s mission and programmatic goals.
• Designs, develops and manages the content creation and delivery of participant and alumnae events and activities, as well as special projects, throughout the program life-cycle including the development and monitoring of implementation plans, budgets, status reports, and closeout activities. Responsible for identifying and securing content provider relationships, such as event speakers, trainers and facilitators, and for spearheading a comprehensive plan for team member collaboration and support for events-related programming.
• Establishes the execution of work methods systems and processes for the TechWomen Program and works with Director to implement all aspects of deliverables.
• In consultation with IIE’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team, leads the strategy and execution of MEL plan for the TechWomen program, including program reporting to sponsor and the development, management, and implementation of yearly strategic action plan to improve program design and delivery.
• Identifies, shares and improves best practices, identifies synergies and knowledge-¬sharing across the TechWomen Program and across IIE.
• Supervises direct reports to develop, maintain and improve strong performance, achievement of deliverables, growth, and motivation. Manages individual workloads, implementation plans, and performance via timely feedback and support.

Qualifications and Experience:
Education and Work Experience:
• Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of related work experience, or combination education and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to manage a large volume of work under severe time constraints and pressures, while demonstrating creativity and suggesting innovative yet practical solutions to new challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, superior writing and editing skills, and a thorough knowledge of the English language.
• Must exhibit maturity, be comfortable interacting with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including the program sponsor, and have the ability to use diplomacy in difficult situations.
• Experience working with logistical arrangements, program content development, and facilitation of group training or events. Comfortable with extensive public speaking.
• Strong program and people management skills, as well the ability to prioritize successfully meet deadlines and provide high quality deliverables in complex situations.
• Passion for supporting women’s empowerment initiatives, global education, exchange, and training, and/or women in STEM highly encouraged!
Salary and Benefits:
Salary Range:$77,623 - $92,040. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
