Responsibilities
- Responsible for the oversight of Street Outreach and the Youth Opportunity Center, Basic Center, Independent Living and Supportive Housing programs; and Assistant Program Directors.
- Direct and coordinate quality services for youth and young adults in assigned programs. Be responsible for ensuring that the program environment is safe, trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and culturally sensitive.
- In collaboration with Human resources, be responsible for the hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of the program staff.
- In conjunction with the Continuous Quality Improvement team, plan and facilitate program developments and quality improvement activities.
- Along with the Service Director, prepare the annual program budget. Monitor monthly census, revenue, and expenses for the program.
- Assist with reporting as required for all contractual obligations, sustainability, and ongoing development efforts.
- Be responsible for program compliance with all licensing standards and assisting in agency accreditation.
- Maintain positive relationships with referral sources, parents/legal guardians, and community partners.
Job Skills / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or closely related field. A graduate degree is preferred, but not required.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Must have a genuine interest in and concern for all youth and families.
- Strong relationship skills, organizational and communication skills.
- Sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the clients and families we serve.
- Ability to provide effective leadership that fosters teamwork within and across programs.
- Experience providing crisis support and management.
- Knowledge and experience providing trauma-informed care.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
