- Foster social interaction and inclusion among people supported, encouraging participation and building confidence.
- Document attendance, participation, reactions, and progress to ensure individualized care and support.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents.
- Work in a position of trust with the people supported.
- Assist with Ad hoc projects as and when required.
Requirements and skills**
International students are not eligible participants. As the objective of the CSJ program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student's time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.
- Post secondary education in any Human Services related program is required.
- Have the ability to work in a team or in an independent environment.
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Be between the ages of 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment.
- Meet all requirements set out under the Canada Summer Jobs Program
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the vulnerable population.
- Valid Driver's license and access to vehicle
- Must provide a complete and current (within three months) Vulnerable Sector or be willing to obtain one.
Bona Fide Requirements:- The ability to engage in all aspects of Safe Management and valid First Aid/CPR Certified.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccinations through approved QR Code
