RMHCSC or the Chapter) is to provide comfort, care and support to children and families in Southern

and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, and joy. RMHCSC operates seven Ronald McDonald Houses, and three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, along with Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times.
Position Summary:
The Development Manager, East Region, will support the Development Director in a range of fundraising initiatives. They will collaborate with the Development Team to ensure smooth execution of multiple campaigns and strategies, including events, donor outreach, cultivation, communications, data management, major gifts programs, and administrative tasks as needed. The focus will be on campaigns, events, and donors in IERMH’s East Region (Loma Linda to the Coachella Valley).
In partnership with the Development Director, the incumbent will oversee the financial growth of fundraising efforts through realistic goal-setting and strategic planning. They will work with program staff to gain a deep understanding of the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House’s mission, vision, values, and programs, and effectively communicate these to external audiences.
Reporting to the Development Director, the Development Manager, East Region, will represent and advance IERMH's mission, vision, values, and interests, with a particular emphasis on the East Region. The incumbent will also manage various fundraising efforts, including the Adopt-A-Room and major gifts programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position shall include but is not limited to the following:
Development and Strategic Planning
- Work with Executive Director and Development Director to conceptualize, plan, and implement an Annual Fund Development Plan, track progress, and provide regular reports.
- Use NXT/Raiser’s Edge, Classy, and other donor database tools to maintain current and detailed donor notes, track donor and gift trends, and conceptualize and assess campaigns.
- Complete donor research using appropriate tools, including Iwave/Kindsight and other online search tools.
- Work with Development Director to extract, analyze, and report on IERMH’s service metrics and impact, both generally and within specific service demographics, using IERMH’s in-house guest services software.
- Track and produce accompanying reports in a timely manner with the guidance of Development Director.
Community Outreach and Engagement
- Advance IERMH’s mission, vision, values, and interests in IERMH’s “East Region” by meeting with donors in the region, attending networking and community events, and soliciting support from area businesses.
- Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations to community groups, businesses, and other organizations who support or are interested in supporting IERMH.
- Attend community-sponsored events and networking events benefiting the IERMH and RMHCSC, as appropriate.
Fundraising Activities and Events
- Manage IERMH’s Adopt-A-Room program and other major gifts programs as needed.
- Participate in and support IERMH’s annual Special Events with the objective of increasing donor/sponsor participation and involvement, improving the financial return of events, and assisting the Special Events Manager as needed.
- Work with Development Director to encourage revenue-generating “community partnerships” with businesses in the region to cultivate third-party fundraisers.
Donor Engagement and Stewardship
- Coordinate, participate in, and track donor stewardship activities, including thank you cards and calls, reports, and family stories.
- Provide support for appeals and donor-focused mailings as needed to ensure timely execution. May include creation of copy, layout, and production.
- Ensure prompt acknowledgement of all donors including event participants.
Professional Development and Team Support
- Attend regular RMHCSC Cohort Meetings, including Development, MarCom, and Events as appropriate.
- Show ability to work with other staff, volunteers, and House guests collaboratively and compassionately.
- Provide staff support for Development/Major Gifts Committee comprised of Board members and volunteers.
