Sound Community Services, Inc. is looking for a Greeter at our 21 Montauk Ave main office building. This is a temporary 12 to16 week assignment with general working hours Mon to Fri 830AM to 430PM.

Salary:
$20.07/hour
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; excellent communication skills including active listening; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software; valid and active Drivers License; CPR/First Aid certified or eligible.
Essential Functions:
- Interacts with internal and external customers (employees, clients, vendors, etc.) via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information.
- Helps clients in distress by responding to emergencies.
- Comforts clients by anticipating clients’ anxieties; answering client’s questions and concerns in a professional, courteous manner.
- Cleaning and disinfecting of vestibule including but not limited to elevator buttons, handrails, door handles, used pens, and the time clock.
- Run client-related reports as directed
- Communicate with appropriate employees when a visitor or PS arrives for scheduled appointment/meeting ensuring all visitors are being directed and/or escorted to their designated area.
- Ensure clients who enter the building have an appointment and are entering at the appropriate time for appointments. Reschedule appointments for clients if arrival is past allotted time and appointment must be cancelled.
- Ensure visitor sign-in sheets and badges are prepared each morning and sign-in sheets are in the appropriate mailbox at the end of the day.
- Schedules and reschedules client appointments for medical and clinical staff.
- Maintains and updates client files in electronic medical record at every visit.
- Updates client demographics including current address, phone number, and payer information.
- Scans updated insurance cards, social security cards, picture ID’s, and uploads to document library.
- Updates Release of Information (ROI) as needed.
- Takes photos of clients and uploads into electronic medical record.
- Protects clients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Monitor the daily activity in the vestibule to reinforce the safety and security of everyone in the building.
- Provides clerical support functions to the medical and clinical staff.
- Ensures that records are stored securely and handled in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations, if applicable.
- Assists with the delivery of postal mail, P.O. box mail retrieval, and interoffice documentation.
- Serves as a backup to the Client Access Representative positions, as directed.
- Secures and safeguards agency equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
