Overview
PolicyMogul is a fast-growing B2B SaaS platform for public affairs teams and charity leaders. It is reinventing the way organisations of all sizes monitor and influence the political landscape. Founded by Elliot Robinson, one of the first employees at Zendesk (now a multi-billion dollar public company), PolicyMogul is fast becoming recognised as the UK industry leader in political monitoring. With a view to raising venture capital next year, PolicyMogul is looking for a Business Development Manager to help drive ambitious growth plans. You will join as an early employee, initially reporting directly to the founder.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing, implementing and delivering an ambitious sales plan. This is very much a proactive role, with the objective of growing the number and value of subscribers to the service, through identifying and personally engaging with key decision makers. For the right candidate, as part of the package, as well as an uncapped commission scheme, there is also equity in the business, making this a very exciting opportunity.
The Ideal Candidate
- You’re willing to take on ambitious goals, and you’re tenacious enough to reach them
- You have a minimum of two years sales experience, successfully delivering sales growth (Preferably in a B2B SaaS environment)
- You have some interest (or even experience) in UK politics
- You thrive in a position of 'ownership' and you're good at managing your own time and workload. Perhaps you have started your own business before (stories of failure are welcome!), or you've been put in a position of responsibility beyond your experience and came out stronger
Key Responsibilities
- Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals
- Continually build pipeline of new business, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
- Become an expert on PolicyMogul’s product and conduct discovery calls, presentations, and demos with prospects and customers
- Develop and manage relationships with prospects and accounts in your territory
- Demonstrate and sell value to key stakeholders within the accounts during fast-moving sales cycles
- Track all opportunity and customer details including use case, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasting in HubSpot
