The Kitchen Cook Assistant is expected to fulfill the following functions:
· Assist in special functions related to Y events such as mandatory meetings and events.
· Assist in the preparation of food for the childcare program or other Y programs, meetings and events.
· Perform pre-serving set up in the youth center at mealtimes.
· Daily kitchen clean up and sanitization.
· Input & track milk program.
· Follow all safety guidelines and methods for food preparation, cooking, thawing and storing.
· Be prepared to step in as lead cook when needed.
· Maintain a clean, organized, safe and sanitary kitchen always following Wyoming Department of Health protocols to ensure the kitchen is ready for pop-in Health Inspections at any given time.
· Assist with menu planning and inputting on the computer.
· Assist with grocery shopping (ordering, picking up, and organizing).
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities, Kitchen Cook Assistant will:
· Pursue/participate in ongoing training.
· Participate in the annual campaign by giving, campaigning or both.
