DASCH is a non-profit organization established in 1974 dedicated to exploring and meeting the residential, day program, respite and foster care needs of youth and adults. All our programs are based in Winnipeg. Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Centralized Services Manager, the Scheduling Coordinator’s primary focus will be temporary staff scheduling throughout our locations. In this role, you will be filling vacant shifts due to vacation time, sick calls, leaves of absences, etc. for each location within DASCH. An On Call rotation will be in place for the assistance of scheduling staff.
Work Hours:
- Full Time, Monday to Friday
- Must be able to flex work hours based on position needs
Salary:
- $22.00 per hour plus remuneration for on-call component

Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year scheduling experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Must be able to work and prioritize under pressure.
- Sound knowledge of developmental disabilities and experience working in the field preferred.
- Able to obtain NVCI certification and First Aid Certification.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage staffs’ contracted schedules for multiple locations.
- Provide locations with monthly staff schedules.
- Update location schedules as required.
- Maintain location schedules 3 months in advance.
- Maintain location master schedule templates.
- Ensure efficient utilization of all support staff to minimize overtime accruals.
- Coordinate staff coverage based on vacation, sick time, and current vacancies.
- Approval, denial and completed logs for all overtime requests.
- Approval, denial and completed logs for all vacation requests.
- Provide administrative support to the Program Manager and Location Supervisor as required.
- Complete reports as requested.
- Provide on-call support for staffing as per protocol.
