Our quest:
We’re The Y WA (formerly the YMCA WA) and we’re
looking for a Strategic Partnerships, Advocacy and Philanthropy
Manager to join our talented and friendly corporate team based in
Welshpool (Perth, WA).
The Y WA has been contributing to our local Australian
communities since 1851. We believe in the power of inspired young
people, delivering health and wellbeing, childcare, education,
youth, and community services to thousands of Australians every
day. None of this would be possible without our unique Y
People!
We need you (and your knack for making meaningful connections)
to lead the way in strategic partnerships, advocacy and
philanthropy. But let’s face it. We work to live! So,
let’s start with your impressive perks:
Your impressive perks
- $100,000 to $130,000 + 11.5% super per annum
- Plus, a generous $$ incentive scheme
- Plus, Salary Packaging Benefits (claim up to $18,550 per
yr)
- Flexible working and working from home arrangements on
offer

What you’ll be doing:
If ‘building relationships and ‘networking’ is
your bag, you’ll love it…
It’s an exciting opportunity to work off a blank canvas
while you make your mark in this brand-new position. Working very
closely with your CFO you’ll use The Y WA strategic
objectives as your guide to articulate how we’ll lift our
sustainable income to support our mission. You’ll then build
your tactical plan to advocate for our children & young people
and identify and secure funding opportunities. But no two days will
be the same as you connect and build relationships with a variety
of internal and external stakeholders. Sounds interesting? Check
out the PD below.
You’ll be great in this role if
you…
- Have an intrinsic desire to help children and young people
to flourish
- Hold proficient communication, interpersonal and
relationship management skills
- Love the opportunity to pitch to a wide audience
- Are known for building trust and influencing decision
makers with desired outcomes in mind
- Stand proud of your track record for sourcing significant
funds through closing big ticket deals in sponsorship, grants,
gifts and philanthropic activities
- Have an impressive black book to grow extensive networks in
WA
- Are open to working inside and outside business hours to
attend functions and events
