Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Center Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations at our Child Development Centre. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Sociology (MA) with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. As a Center Coordinator, you will oversee the delivery of services to children with developmental delays or disabilities, ensure effective communication with families and staff, and contribute to the growth and success of the center. The role requires strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Child Development Centre, ensuring the smooth functioning of all activities.
- Work closely with therapists, teachers, and caregivers to ensure that individualized development plans for each child are being followed.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of services provided by the center.
Staff Supervision:
- Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, counselors, and teaching staff.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff to ensure professional development and a cohesive team approach.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and assist with recruitment and training of new staff.
Client Relations and Family Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for families, providing them with updates on their child’s progress, program changes, and resources.
- Develop and facilitate support groups for parents and families of children with developmental challenges.
- Ensure families are aware of available services and provide guidance on how to access support.
Administrative Duties:
- Oversee administrative tasks including scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Ensure that all client files and documentation are kept up to date and in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Manage the center’s budget, ordering supplies, and ensuring resources are used efficiently.
Collaboration with External Partners:
- Build and maintain relationships with local hospitals, clinics, schools, and community organizations to facilitate referrals and support services.
- Coordinate with other service providers to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
Program Development and Evaluation:
- Assist in the development of new programs and services to meet the evolving needs of children and families.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, collecting feedback from families and staff to identify areas for improvement.
Advocacy and Awareness:
- Advocate for children’s developmental rights and services within the community.
- Promote awareness of child development issues through community outreach, events, and campaigns.
