What We Need:
We are looking for a strategic and relationship-driven Community Leader to grow our presence in the Not-for-Profit and Charity sector. This role is not a traditional sales position—it’s about evangelizing our approach, fostering a thriving community of charity leaders, and providing strategic advisory support. You will help shape industry conversations, share thought leadership, and position our agency as a trusted partner for charities looking to scale their impact.
Location & Remote Work:
This role is fully remote, but there is an expectation of in-person client visits at least once per week in either New York City or Washington, D.C. Candidates should be based in a location that allows for easy travel to these nonprofit hubs, with ideal locations including New York, New Jersey, or the Washington, D.C. metro area. In addition to client meetings, team members will participate in regularly scheduled Jeffersonian-themed dinners, fostering deeper discussions, idea-sharing, and stronger connections within the nonprofit community.
What You’ll Do:
1. Charity Sector Expertise & Insights
- Stay ahead of nonprofit and charity sector trends, market conditions, and competitive dynamics.
- Deeply understand the pain points, fundraising structures, and decision-makers within target charities.
- Act as the agency’s leading expert on top charities, their leadership roles, and key challenges.
2. Thought Leadership & Industry Engagement
- Be the face of the agency in the charity space—speaking at industry events, networking, and engaging in key discussions.
- Develop a thought leadership calendar to shape industry perspectives.
- Work with marketing to produce content, whitepapers, reports, and videos that engage the sector.
- Partner with the Client Advisory team to support upselling opportunities for existing charity clients.
3. Community Building & Relationship Management
- Create and nurture a community of charity marketing leaders through ongoing engagement.
- Organize roundtables, networking events, and private discussions to foster connections.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, focusing on long-term relationships rather than short-term sales.
- Cultivate partnerships with third-party technology and strategy providers.
4. Digital Marketing Education & Strategy
- Help charity marketers understand how digital media, brand marketing, data, and ad tech drive mass donor acquisition and long-term donor value.
- Collaborate with internal Practice Area teams to tailor solutions that address each charity’s unique challenges.
- Provide strategic insights on how integrated media strategies can connect with both younger and legacy donor bases.
5. Community Metrics & Sales Enablement
- Own the upper-funnel revenue cycle, focusing on high-value interactions (meetings, calls, events).
- Use BANT qualification methodology to identify high-potential community members.
- Maintain a soft-sell, value-driven approach, ensuring engagement leads to organic business opportunities.
- Lead and mentor Business Development Executives (BDEs) in the charity sector.
- Provide feedback to Practice Areas to refine and expand the agency’s service offerings.
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in the charity sector, ideally with leadership roles in marketing, communications, or development.
- Expertise in fundraising, donor engagement, and the Giving Pyramid.
- Foundational understanding of digital marketing, ad tech, and performance media.
- A trusted advisor mindset—focused on strategic, long-term relationships, not transactional sales.
- Proven ability to build and grow executive-level communities.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and shape strategy.
This opportunity is for someone who is passionate about the charity sector, thrives on community building, and has a deep understanding of how digital marketing can drive nonprofit growth.
The base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 per year. In addition, you will be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus tied to individual and company-wide goals and objectives. This bonus structure is designed to reward exceptional performance and contributions toward Delve Deeper's overall success.
