Planned Parenthood Keystone (PPKey) serves 37 counties in Pennsylvania, home to over half of Pennsylvania residents. The Director of Individual Giving (DIG) is a key member of the Development team, responsible for all aspects of donor stewardship, solicitation, and prospecting. This role focuses on cultivating and maintaining relationships with current and prospective donors to support Planned Parenthood Keystone (PPKeystone). The DIG will play a critical role in securing major gifts, conducting prospect research, preparing donor correspondence, performing outreach, and planning and executing events to engage supporters across PPKeystone’s 37-county region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of all individual giving strategies, including major and planned gifts.
- Maintain portfolio of donors in the $1,000-$5000 range, while actively expanding the donor pipeline through research and relationship-building with new supporters.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to expand the pool of individual donors.
- Design and lead tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans for donors. Donors in the major gift portfolio should receive multiple personalized touchpoints annually.
- Manage the donor pipeline and make strategic decisions about moves management, including prospects, gift amounts, and stewardship. Oversee portfolio management and support senior leadership in engaging high-net-worth individuals.
- Manage systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including donor database and wealth screening tools.
- Conducts face-to-face fundraising solicitations with current and prospective major donors
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Development to strategize on prospects, gift amounts, and solicitation approaches, while aligning donor interests with PPKeystone’s funding priorities.
- Conduct a minimum of 5 personal contacts a week with prospects and donors.
- Manage all aspects of event planning for PPKey, including but not limited to developing event ideas; managing the logistics of all events; coordinating time with staff and other volunteers; communicating with chairs, committee members, and others; and helping with the gift processing and acknowledgment of gifts.
- Collaborate with other departments and leaders to align individual giving efforts with broader organizational goals.
- Ensure a culture that embraces diversity, fair and respectful treatment of all people, and customer-focused delivery throughout the organization
- Ensure completion of required annual training.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and patient privacy regulations

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience in business, fundraising, communications or related field
- 5+ years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, with an emphasis on individual donors, major gifts, planned giving, and donor relations.
- Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or other CRM technology experience.
- Commitment to PPKey’s mission, purpose, and values.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent interpersonal and communication, verbal & written, skills that enable work in a collaborative and multi-faceted team environment Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong commitment to the American Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Code of Ethics. Fluent and experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) browser-based applications, and relational databases. Ability to write clear, persuasive, and informative reports, correspondence, and procedural instructions Ability to work independently under minimal supervision Ability and willingness to travel.
