Intervention, Inc., a Colorado non-profit, provides services within the criminal justice system across the state of Colorado including sobriety monitoring (UAs/BAs), electronic monitoring, probation supervision and community corrections.



General Description
Oversees a caseload of clients who are required to complete Community Service (Useful Public Service) hours. Completes record keeping and compliance reporting.
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Treat all clients with respect and dignity.
  • Register clients and coordinate them with an appropriate agency to complete their UPS requirement, verifying completion of UPS hours, and writing timely and accurate reports to a referring agent (Court, Probation, or other Intervention Case Managers).
  • Maintain a case file for each UPS client.
  • Detail and explain verbally to the client, program rules and UPS deadlines.
  • Responsible for entering data into approved Intervention programs as required by the Program Manager.
  • Report all program compliance and violations to the referral agency/Court via the established Intervention and local jurisdiction policies.
  • Accept and collect fees and issue receipts to clients and secure payment in office safe.
  • Perform all data entry, administrative and general clerical duties for the program.   
  • Complete general office functions as required including but not limited to; answering the phone, greeting clients, assisting with client questions, photocopying, filing, preparation of documents, etc.
  • Assist other Intervention staff  who are  managing a caseload of clients ordered to comply with Intervention technology including but not limited to electronic monitoring, monitored sobriety (through Sobrietors, SCRAM, and/or Sleeptime) and/or GPS (either passive or active).
  • File all paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Monitor testing of clients through urinalysis and breathalyzer.
  • Serve as the initial contact for client complaints and grievances for the UPS program. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Experience in a criminal justice or social sciences related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Basic experience with computers and general knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Because this position requires direct observation of females submitting specimens for urinalysis, being female has been determined to be a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification and only females will be considered for the position.
  • * Spanish speaking preferred. 

 

Title: Useful Public Service Specialist 
Starting Pay: $17.76/hr (plus differential for Spanish speaking)
Location: Brighton, CO
Hours: M-F day shift (full time)
