Team Leader - Tier One Advice Service, Energy Team

Citizens Advice Manchester is a charity which provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice. We’re a modern, innovative and progressive advice service that employs over 210 people and is one of the largest and most diversely funded Local Citizens Advice within the network. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Tier One Energy Team in the role of Team Leader. This service is the first point of contact for those seeking advice and support on a range of energy related issues. Advisers on this service conduct an initial assessment of the clients needs, give basic advice and self help information and are able to make arrangements for further assistance where needed.
In the role of Team Leader you will have responsibility for leading, coordinating and supervising the day to day operations of the team in accordance with key performance indicators and defined quality standards. You will also support your Line Manager in promotion, planning, recruitment and development of the service.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Team Leader who can demonstrate a successful track record delivering advice whilst leading a team. Successful applicants will have:
- A minimum of one year’s recent full-time (or equivalent) experience delivering excellent customer service in a regulated environment such as banking, insurance, contact centre or the charity sector.
- Proven experience managing a team, driving performance, and ensuring quality and compliance standards are met, ideally within an advice or customer-focused environment.
- Experience of providing technical support and/or training to employees/volunteers.
