BCBA Clinical Supervisor
Ablelight is currently hiring a full-time BCBA Clinical Supervisor in the Denver area.
The Clinical Supervisor administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of comprehensive behavioral assessment measures (e.g., Practical Functional Assessment (PFA), Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale, Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), Essential Eight Quick Assessment, etc.) and/or other functional assessment measures as assigned or indicated. Develops individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and center-based programs as indicated by the needs of the people we support. Designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data. Is a role-model for a highly engaging and functioning behavioral team.
Education and Experience:
- BCBA is a legal title and is accomplished ONLY through certification by having met all requirements which includes passing the board exam, having a Master’s Degree, completion of specific set of graduate level courses, and experience supervised and approved by a BCBA who meets the supervision criteria set forth by the BACB.
- Ability to submit samples of clinical work (to demonstrate competence) upon request.
- 2 years’ experience completing comprehensive functional behavior assessments, behavior support plans, program/goal development, designing / implementing / teaching behavior reduction and skill acquisition procedures.
- 2 years’ experience supporting individuals with lifelong disabilities.
- Preferred 2 years’ experience supervising highly engaged and effective teams.
- State Licensure as required by state of residence.
- BCBA certification in good standing.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record as defined by AbleLight policy.
- Ability to sit and or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to use the keyboard and computer for a minimum of seven hours per day.
- Ability to work irregular hours as needed.
- Local and overnight travel, up to 15% of time.
- Clear background checks as defined by regulations and policies.

Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
- Fulfills clinically recommended service hours requested on client treatment plans.
- Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as stated in AbleLight’s Good Documentation Policy and/or as requested by Director of Behavioral Services.
- Develops/writes comprehensive reports documenting behavioral recommendations for guardians, caregivers and agency personnel accurately and timely.
- Maintain availability to respond to the needs of the persons we serve, providing consultation and on-site assistance to behavior crisis situations.
- Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Meets regularly with Director of Behavioral Services. Immediately notifies on issues impacting people we serve regarding their progress and satisfaction.
- Teaches management staff and DSPs on the proper implementation of reinforcement, initiative-taking and preventative behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems.
- Conducts regular caregiver and/or staff training and consultation.
- Performs monthly BT/RBT integrity checks and provides timely and compassionate feedback.
- As a role model for behavior technicians, RBTs, and practicum students, aligns the passion and talents of others to serve the people we support by actively developing others, empowering teams, promoting collaboration, removing barriers, and showing recognition and appreciation all to attract and retain top talent. Participates in AbleLight leadership processes in Talent Acquisition and Quarterly Connections.
- Receives and applies constructive feedback and is independent with communicating when additional support is needed.
- Participates in professional meetings or conferences as required by the director of behavioral services and as required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or by state rules and regulations to maintain certification, licensure and/or status as a provider.
- Maintain any required training to include any necessary crisis management procedures in the behavior plans as needed.
