REQUIREMENTS:
M.S.W. or M.A. degree in psychology, counseling, social work strongly preferred. LCSW or MFT license strongly preferred.
At least two years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Previous clinical experience and prior work with homeless/very low income adults preferred. Candidates must possess a good working knowledge and sensitivity to adults with mental health issues, substance abuse, domestic violence, and/or HIV/AIDS.
Demonstrated cultural competency in working with diverse populations and the ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable.
Be able to quickly assess and respond to a variety of situations, including medical emergencies, conflict resolution and intervention, and other tenant emergencies. Possess a working knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and be able to implement them.
Excellent charting, recordkeeping, and written and oral communication skills.
Strong familiarity with San Francisco-based substance use, mental health, and health care resources.
Maintain professional, respectful, honest interactions with residents, staff and outside resources.
Be committed to the mission and values of Episcopal Community Services.
Be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Be sensitive to a diverse tenant and staff population.
Be able to facilitate training sessions and effective support/tenant groups.
Computer skills required. Must have a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of tasks in an active environment. Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines. Experience with non-profit organizations serving disadvantaged people preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must secure finger image screening and annual TB screening. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position which may include long periods at a desk and/or computer workstation, and lifting of up to 25 lbs.
