Payrate: $33.65 Per hour / Non-Exempt
 
Job Summary: People USA provides people living with mental health and/or addiction issues with the highest quality, effective peer services, and behavioral health care.
We are a peer-run nonprofit organization. This means our agency is 100% made up of people with their own lived experience with mental health or addiction issues, recovery, and moving towards wellness. Our mission is to educate, support, and empower people to understand, manage, and overcome behavioral health challenges. Under the direction of the Site Director of the Ulster County Crisis Support Center in partnership with community providers, the Licensed Social Worker (LMSW)/ Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) will provide oversight and direct services to individuals (including youth), and family therapeutic services to participants, including assessments, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
 
Job Requirements: 
  • Addresses referrals from community providers, including referrals via warm hand-offs
  • Engages in crisis de-escalation and therapeutic interventions to support individuals experiencing a crisis
  • Leads daily huddles to assess needs and coordinate services
  • Work in collaboration with individuals, families, community providers, team members, and external partners
  • Completes and signs off on required documentation and paperwork including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates cultural competency and commitment to participants
  • Maintains a Trauma-Informed environment and person-centered approach to care
  • Demonstrates commitment to the philosophy of the agency
  • Acts as an advocate and helps individuals with linkages to resources to address unmet needs
  • Ability to make psychosocial assessments and develop and implement a viable care plan
  • Complete discharge planning and collaboration to ensure continuity of care
  • Other duties assigned
Job Qualifications: All employees are expected to provide the very highest level of service to guests and their families. They will interact with professionals from many different social services and government agencies; they must be able to collaborate well with others. The position also requires emotional resilience and stability since the work often involves dealing with crises.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Knowledge of community and community resources
  • Ability to pass background checks
  • Valid driver's license
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations
  • Lived experience of mental health or substance abuse preferred
  • Working knowledge of Clinic policies and procedures
  • Three years of Experience
  • Masters Degree in, Social Work (LMSW) / Current License LMSW or LMHC
  • Preferred: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
