We are currently in search of a Development Lead for an Education Nonprofit. The position is hybrid in Long Island City, Queens. This is a temporary (possibly temp-to-perm) position.

 

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Education Nonprofit

LOCATION: Long Island City, Queens

POSITION TITLE: Development Lead

SCHEDULE: Full time - Hybrid, M/W – onsite, T/Th/F remote. (Part time flexibility possible)

DURATION: Temporary (could become permanent for the right candidate)

HOURLY RATE: $32.00 - $44.00

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Development Lead will be heavily involved in the day-to-day of the overall development team. They will write grants with a large majority being foundation grants. The lead will provide support to large scale fundraising efforts including the planning of the annual gala. They will also be involved in other general development and communications tasks as needed.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

·       Advanced expertise in Nonprofit Development required

·       Comprehensive grant writing skills required

·       Proven success in high-energy, transitional settings required

·       Experience with grant proposals preferred

·       Experience supporting large-scale fundraising efforts preferred

·       Self-starter with can complete tasks with minimal need for direction

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Leading development team
  • Writing grants (including foundation grants)
  • Supporting the planning of the annual gala in May (speech coordination)
  • Ensuring fundraising events run smoothly
  • General development responsibilities
  • General communications tasks
  • Managing grant proposals
