Ensure the safety of campers by supervising the assigned pool area and maintaining a clean, organized environment. As a YMCA Lifeguard, you will communicate with the Aquatics Director, enforce pool rules, and respond effectively to emergencies.  

Duties: 

  • Supervise swimmers to ensure their safety and prevent accidents in the pool area. 

  • Enforce pool rules to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all participants. 

  • Respond promptly to emergencies by providing first aid, CPR, or other necessary interventions as needed. 

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including removing hazards and ensuring proper pool equipment is in place. 

  • Communicate with aquatics staff and report any safety concerns or incidents to ensure efficient operations and a safe environment for all. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be 16 years of age. 

  • Applicants must hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

 

Schedule:  

  • Monday – Friday from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM 

  • After camp swim lessons on select days 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
