POSITION SUMMARY
(Eligible for Hybrid/ 3 days in office - Alexandria, VA)
The HRIS Administrator is a member of the United Way Worldwide (UWW) People & Culture team. This person will be responsible for managing the data, systems and processes that will ensure that UWW leadership and the People & Culture team have the information necessary to inform effective people operations and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will possess strong understanding of HR information systems structure and functionality. This person will be a resourceful problem solver, with the experience, judgement and initiative to manage IT systems as well as business processes. They will partner to support functions across the People & Culture team, including benefits design & administration, compensation, compliance, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning & development, and DEI.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION
An individual must be collaborative and able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
- Serve as a trusted HR contact and advisor and establish effective relationships with managers and employees.
- Support HRIS tools and resources by identifying systems needs and options, and partnering with vendors to manage the implementation of needed upgrades, module integrations, and system migrations
- Generate reports, develop and manage dashboards regarding key People & Culture performance metrics and ongoing engagement activities; support efforts to monitor outputs and outcomes
- Serve as designated Record-Keeper for People & Culture team, facilitating processes to ensure internal data control, and maintaining the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Perform annual audits of personnel files to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately; take corrective action as needed.
- Answer internal, HR-related questions relative to standard policies and benefits.
- Establish profiles for new hires in HRIS, serve as a resource to staff as they use the system
- Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs.
- Assist in completing benefits reporting requirements and the distribution of required annual employee notices.
Skills/Abilities:
- A minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in an HR function; demonstrable understanding of best practices in HR operations
- Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; prior experience with systems implementations preferred
- foundational understanding of database systems structure, reporting and management
- Strong proficiency with MS Excel, and standard MS Office applications similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

SALARY STATEMENT
The budgeted salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000 per year. Salaries are determined by several factors including applicant’s knowledge, skills, experience, position, and the market.
