POSITION SUMMARY
CISAC is searching for an Events and Educational Programs Manager. Reporting to the Associate Director for Administration and Finance, the Events and Educational Programs Manager will be responsible for 1) developing and managing all aspects of CISAC’s research and social events including planning, marketing, execution and budgeting 2) working with CISAC’s Communications Manager to promote CISAC events and educational programs 3) working with faculty to develop and manage the CISAC Honors College, a 10 day program in Washington DC 4) overseeing budgets and program logistics for the CISAC Honors Program. The Events and Educational Programs Manager will also direct the work of other CISAC staff working on events and educational programs.
CORE DUTIES
- Implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.
- Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate solutions and recommendations.
- Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures.
- Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school. May also represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
- Organize and/or participate in outreach activities including developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences.
- Participate in budget development, monitor and approve expenditures, and perform limited forecasting.
- Supervise staff performing various tasks and assignments.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

- Experience with web content management; knowledge of Drupal and HTML is a plus.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is a plus.
- Knowledge of MailChimp or email marketing tools is a plus.
- Experience managing virtual events is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Perform desk-based computer tasks constantly.
- Stand/walk, sit, grasp lightly/fine manipulation frequently.
- Use a telephone occasionally.
- Lift/carry/push/pull objects weighing 11-20 pounds rarely.

Onsite/Hybrid
The expected pay range for this position is $99,015 to $126,383 per annum.
