We are looking for a BHT Outreach Worker to join our team! This role will provide mental health and substance use disorder treatment, linkage to resources, and related recovery support to adults within the jail and justice system. The BHT OutreachWorker will focus on identifying, assessing, and treating individual’s needs to connect individuals with appropriate services. Staff will conduct clinical assessments and screenings to determine the presence of mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders, and develop personalized, medically necessary service plans for each individual enrolled in the program. This position will provide follow-up care for individuals participating in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs. The Specialist will be responsible for outreach, intake, and ongoing support services, and will serve as a liaison between the program and other community agencies, specifically within the jail and justice population. The BHT Outreach Worker will report directly to the Project Director.
Shift:
- Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or master’s degree, no experience necessary or
- Bachelor’s degree in a non-behavioral health related field plus one (1) year experience providing behavioral health services or
- Associate degree plus two (2) years behavioral health work experience or
- High School Diploma or GED plus four (4) years of behavioral health work experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age (automobile insurance requirement) and possess a valid AZ driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
- At time of job offer, submission of 36 month (three year) driving record from DMV will be required. These standards must be maintained throughout employment and up-to-date driving records are reviewed regularly for current employees.
- Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
