Functions:Responsibilities:To assist with the day-to-day store operation and sales performance to meet or exceed budget while in compliance with company standards, policies and procedures. A Sales Floor Lead performsthedutiesofasupervisorwhenassignedbytheStoreManagerorSalesFloorManager. Sales Floor Leads may act in a supervisory capacity during scheduled work hours.
1.Tousethecashregistertomaketotalsales,acceptpayment;authorizevoids,returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise.
2.Toensureproperrotation ofstoremerchandise.
3.Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessional performance.
4.To stock thesales floor adequately. To create a positivepublicimageof Goodwill throughacleanstoreenvironment,attractivedisplaysandpresentable,personable personnel.
5.Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheshopping areas.
6.Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
7.Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.Toensurecomplianceby Store Floor Associates.
8.Tobeableto performthejob duties ofSales Floor Associates.
9.Toattendworkontheregularlyscheduledshiftsasassignedbythemanagerforthe week.
10.Toensurethefloorcheckiscompleteddailyandtoensuremonthlysafetyself- inspections are conducted.
11.Toensureallnewhiresareproperlyoriented,usingtheappropriatemanual,within the first week of employment. To document that training occurred.
12.Toassistthestoremanagerincontrollingtheexpensetorevenueratiomonthlyand annually.
13.ToassistintrainingandmentoringofSalesFloorAssociatesandcourt-appointed community service workers, as assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
14.Toassistinsupervising,discipliningandrecommendingdischargeofsalesassociates to the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
15.Tomonitorandassist inthereceiving,pricingand displayingofstore merchandise.
16.Torecordandbalancecashregisterreceipts,makebankdepositsandrecordstore transactions.
17.Toassistin thepreparationofpersonneland payrollrecordsin atimely manner.
18.Tocompleteaccuratelyotherpaperworkrequiredintheday-to-dayoperationofthe store.
19.Anyotherjob-relateddutiesasrequestedbymanagement.
Skills and Abilities:
1.ToassisttheStoreManagerorProductionManagerinachieving/exceedingproduction goals both monthly and annually and to assist in implementing a contingency plan if goals are not being met.
2.Mustbeabletointeractprofessionallyandproductivelywithadiverse arrayof people.
3.MustbeabletomarketGoodwillandexplainthemissiontothegeneralpublic.
4.Mustestablishandmaintaineffectiveworkingrelationshipswith,andamong,store and production personnel while motivating them to their best performance.
5.Mustbeabletoworkaflexiblescheduleonshortnotice,includingnightsand weekends, and occasionally, long hours.
6.Mustbeabletouserepetitivehandmovementwhenbuttoning,sorting,hangingand zipping garments.
7.Mustbeabletoengageinprolongedstanding,walkingandinfrequentbending, stooping, and stretching.
8.Mustbeabletofunctioninafast-pacedworkenvironmentwithoccasionalperiodsof high volume.
Requirements:1.HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
2.Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyin English.
3.Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustry preferred.
4.MustsuccessfullycompleteRetail training.
WorkingConditions:Frequentphysicalexertion,frequentmovement,conditionedindoortemperatureswithoccasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
