Researcher/Technical Advisor
Safal Partners is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Researcher/Technical Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance, training, and technical assistance in support of the federal HHS grantees. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of community-based injury prevention programs and a strong track record of developing and delivering technical assistance products that expand culturally appropriate injury prevention services for American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop technical assistance products (fact sheets, tool kits, template reports, guidance documents, presentations, etc.) and upload them to the shared web platform
- Create tools and resources for outcomes measurement and program improvement
- Support in-person, virtual, or hybrid training/meetings
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate webinars and training sessions on injury prevention theories, evaluation methods, and grant compliance
- Collaborate with the Project Director to update program office/agency materials
- Assist in drafting biannual and annual evaluation reports, including narrative summaries, data visualizations, and cost analyses
- Respond promptly to technical assistance requests from grantees, offering referrals, data support, and evidence-based resources
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in community-based injury prevention and/or field-based public health practice
- Master of Public Health degree or higher, or Master of Science degree in a closely related field (e.g., Public Health, Epidemiology, Community Health)
- Demonstrated expertise in applying public health principles applicable to the science and evidenced-based practice of community-based injury control and prevention theories, program evaluation and interventions
- Experience partnering with American Indian and/or Alaska Native communities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced skills in data analysis software (R, SAS, SPSS, or Excel) and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with HHS Section 508 accessibility requirements and best practices for digital resources
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience drafting federal-style reports and technical briefs
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with learning management systems or online resource platforms
Job Type: Full-time, contingent upon contract award
Location: Remote, must be authorized to work in the United States and able to secure a public trust clearance if required
