NGO Profile:
The hiring non-profit and charitable organization working for the cause of education, health, and skill
development towards underprivileged children, specially girls and women, in the slums of Tikiapara
and Bankra in Howrah District, West Bengal since 2001.
To support its expansion, non-profit organization is hiring for the role of Manager - Fund Raising and
Corporate Partnerships. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of CSR landscapes and
Sustainability.
Job Overview:
The position is primarily responsible for supporting the Senior Management Team in fundraising and
prospecting new clients for fundraising in India and abroad. S/he will be responsible for meeting the
CSR/HR Heads at various corporates to make pitch presentations, creating customized proposals,
donor servicing, query resolution and grant reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Increase revenue, meet the annual targets by securing funds from corporates/institutions. To
support the development of a long-term strategy for ensuring sustainable processes for
corporate fundraising and to implement the strategy to meet the fundraising targets.
• Develop proposals, concept notes, and presentations; respond to national and international
Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including Grants.
• Meet the CSR head, HR head and Marketing head of potential corporates to explain SHM’s
focus on thematic areas and showcase the ongoing projects/programs.
• Support the senior management team (SMT) in different corporate forums and events, CSR
seminars and conferences, to network with prospective corporates and improve the visibility
of the organization.
• Ensure the timely development of proposals and concept notes as per donor requirements in
coordination with the program team and respond to national and international requests for
Proposals (RFPs), including Grants.
• Create pitch presentations, case studies, audios/videos for showcasing existing interventions.
• Conduct regular meetings with donors to provide them with program updates and current
program status. Review and ensure timely submission of donor reports to all the corporate
donors.
• Encourage donors to conduct program visits for getting first-hand experience and information
regarding the programs being implemented by SHM and their impact.
• Maintain a pipeline for closures and realizations in the financial year comprising of both new
and existing corporate partners. Provide inputs for the creation of grant agreements /contract
with the corporate partners to meet donor requirements.
• Manage the grant agreements for corporate partners in terms of seeking extensions or tracking
under-spends.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Founder of NGO
Requirements
• Master’s degree in public relations, marketing, management or business administration.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fundraising in the social sector with a focus on
Sustainability, and CSR.
• Strong connections with CSR and sustainability heads of corporates.
• Understanding and experience of the non-profit industry will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English, including writing and public speaking.
• Excellent time management abilities and a track record of meeting deadlines.
