Position Qualifications & Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is required.
- At least 7 years of direct fundraising experience, with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Professional fundraising certification (CFRE, FAHP or equivalent)
- At least 5 years of demonstrated success in staff leadership with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate colleagues, staff and volunteers.
- Ability to create strong relationships with constituents and colleagues to develop trust and credibility with them.
- Ability to present information, analysis, ideas, and positions in writing or in oral presentations in a clear and convincing manner.
- Readily responds to pressing and changing demands of constituents and within the organization.
- Seeks opportunities to improve, streamline, reinvent work processes to improve Empath Health’s performance and effectiveness.
- Ability to think and plan strategically and creatively.
- Highly organized with a strong work ethic
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with all Empath Foundations, executes a comprehensive annual giving strategy from concept and design through production and fulfillment to raise annual gifts.
- Provides oversight of content and messaging, development, production and distribution of direct mail materials, email solicitation and online giving strategies to increase annual giving.
- Develops the annual giving plan with specific goals, timelines and performance metrics.
- Plans and executes steps for donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for gifts up to $9,999 from individuals giving non-designated gifts to annual giving.
- Uses the development database to retrieve data and performs comprehensive analysis related to all aspects of the annual fund program continuously adjusting and improving the annual giving program
- Assists in planning, implementing and monitoring the matching gifts program which capitalizes on the potential to maximize the benefits of donors working at matching gift companies.
- Coordinates Empath Health Colleague giving across the system.
- Maintains a personal portfolio of prospects and personally solicits an annually identified group of constituents who have/or could contribute to Empath Health.
- Coordinates stewardship activities related to annual giving.
- Writes and updates annual giving acknowledgement letters.
Location:
State-wide travel is required. Will have the ability to work remotely. May be required to travel to office locations within Empath Health’s footprint.
