Advocates is seeking a friendly and responsible Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to work with a friendly young girl with a developmental disability. In this critical role, you will provide respite care for her while engaging in hobbies and activities of interest to her. The ideal candidate will have effective communication and leadership skills, patience, and be reliable. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.
Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required.
Hours and days of work:
Two weekdays per week from 3:00pm-6:00/7:00pm and occasional weekend mornings
Schedule has some flexibility
This is a part-time position, but opportunities exist for additional hours with other individuals within the agency.
Pay rate: $20.00 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $15.50 per hour.
