Opportunity
Banyan
Community Services is expanding, and we’re pleased to introduce a new position:
Director of People and Culture. Reporting directly to the CEO and a key member
of the Senior Management Team, this role will oversee our human resources and
organizational development functions.
As an
experienced HR leader, you have a proven ability to build strong,
high-performing teams and develop meaningful partnerships within the
organization and the wider community. You are confident in your
decision-making, dedicated to empowering others, and excel in a collaborative,
team-oriented environment.
With
two direct reports, you will play a central role in shaping a dynamic People
and Culture function that reflects and reinforces Banyan’s core values of
integrity and inclusion and service.

Working Conditions
This position is based
at Banyan’s head office, with travel required to various project sites. While
the role primarily operates during standard business hours, flexibility is
essential, as evening or weekend meetings may occasionally be necessary. The work
environment is fast-paced and high-pressure, often involving tight deadlines
and competing priorities that require strong organizational and time management
skills.
Compensation & How To Apply
Compensation
will be commensurate with background and experience and will include a base
salary and a comprehensive benefit package.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s
degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business
Administration, Social Services, or a related field.
- CHRP with a
minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in HR.
- Proven
experience in labour relations and collective bargaining.
- Experience in
a non‐profit environment is a definite asset.
- Government
sector experience will be an added advantage.
- Valid driver's
license and access to transportation.
