POSITION DESCRIPTION
The North Valley Corporate & Community Relations Officer (CCRO) is a key external relations position, with primary role of acquiring and managing corporate, foundation and individual donations. Under the supervision of the Development Programs Manager, the Corporate & Community Relations Officer researches, cultivates, solicits and stewards funders.
The CCRO will work closely with local Communications staff, and will need to collaborate with GRID headquarters’ Development team based out of Oakland, CA. The CCRO assists with grant development and partnership stewardship for Workforce and Training Departments as needed, and coordinates volunteer events with our Construction Department. The position reports to the Development Programs Manager.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Development & Partnership
• Serve as GRID representative at community and partner events and meetings
• Identify partnership objectives and stewardship strategies in coordination with other staff
• Develop and manage corporate, foundation and other philanthropic funding
• Coordinate sponsored workdays with corporate partners, professional and academic groups, and others volunteer groups as needed
• Manage fundraising data entry and ensure data integrity in Salesforce CRM
• Assist with invoicing and fund processing
• Imagine and create giving campaigns
• Research and write grant applications
Events & Communications
• Work closely with Events Manager to conceive and host events as a part of a comprehensive strategy to for fundraising, community building, networking and brand-building outcomes
• Work with Communications Associate to ensure timely donor acknowledgements and to build fundraising communication campaigns and increase our visibility in the corporate and philanthropic sectors locally
Other Responsibilities:
• Lead, manage or support special projects upon request
• Support other fund development and communications objectives for the Development Department
