As a Career Connection Manager in the Core Program, you will be at the forefront of employer engagement and student career outcomes. Your work will focus on building and sustaining employer partnerships, innovating new career pathways, and ensuring that Medha students and alumni are connected to high-quality opportunities in growth-oriented roles. This role plays a crucial part in shaping Medha’s impact on youth employability and long-term economic independence.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE:
Employer Engagement & Career Opportunities
- Implement programs that support the economic independence of young people.
- Build and sustain employer partnerships to facilitate career connections through placement and internship drives.
- Champion advocacy efforts to improve industry-academia alignment.
- Drive student career connections in fair-wage, growth-oriented roles and maintain strong alumni relationships.
Innovation & Pathway Development
- Identify and test new career pathways such as ethical gig work, apprenticeships, and future-ready jobs.
- Pilot innovative employer engagement models and alternative placement strategies.
- Develop sector-specific partnerships to expand opportunities for youth.
Data-Driven Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Track employer relationship outcomes, placement ratios, and student career conversion patterns.
- Collaborate with the Impact team to document insights and refine strategies.
- Generate reports, employer feedback data, and success metrics to measure impact and improve processes.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Program, System Adoption, and Communications teams to align employer engagement efforts.
- Facilitate employer visits, volunteering opportunities, and industry immersion sessions
- Support state leads and program managers with industry feedback for program design and delivery.
- Refine industry engagement strategies and improve partner satisfaction.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 1–3 years of experience in employer engagement, talent acquisition, career services, or youth employability programs.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Hindi.
- Analytical mindset, comfortable tracking data and drawing insights.
- Project management abilities to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Adaptable, entrepreneurial, and collaborative in dynamic environments.
- Passionate about youth development and advancing economic opportunities.
