Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years experience in commercial solar construction or operations in a management or strategic role

2+ years experience in project management of commercial-scale solar projects

Experience managing vendors and negotiating contracts

Excellent and professional communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation skills

Excellent leadership skills, ability to build a positive work environment within a team and in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience with MS Project or other project/construction management platforms

Experience with Salesforce.com CRM database systems

Self starter – extremely motivated, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Passion for environmental justice and working with low-income communities, sustainability, affordable housing, and the environment

Office Location/travel:
This position can be located in any of GRID Alternative’s regional locations. Based in Oakland, California, GRID has 9 regional offices and affiliates serving all of California, Colorado, Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware; GRID also has staff on the ground in Nicaragua, Mexico and Nepal.
NOTE: This position requires occasional out-of-town travel such as organization-wide yearly staff summit regularly held in California. Availability to work nights and weekends may be required. GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use, but applicant must hold a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Compensation:
This is a full-time position, compensation commensurate with experience
