Program Administrative Assistant, Downtown Pittsburgh, PA

We’re seeking a compassionate and highly organized Administrative Assistant to join our Allegheny County Outreach Team to help those who are having trouble paying their utility bills.
In this position, you will be the first point of contact for clients seeking assistance and you understand the importance of listening closely and offering encouragement. You will provide important program enrollment information to clients to begin the process of obtaining support.

Administrative Assistant Key Performance Objectives Include:
- Answer incoming calls and retrieve all voice mails and direct calls to the appropriate program and/or caseworker.
- Answer questions related to the Duquesne Light Consumer Assistance Program and inform clients of eligibility requirements,
- Receive and review applications and documents, mail applications, and make referrals to the appropriate caseworker or community resources.
- Monitor and respond to the Consumer Assistance Program email and fax.
- Maintain appropriate documentation as required by Catholic Charities and Duquesne Light.
- Attend all trainings related to the Duquesne Light Consumer Assistance Program and Catholic Charities system to provide updates and information to clients.
- Conduct follow-up calls to clients to determine satisfaction with services provided.
- Work closely with caseworkers to coordinate appointments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of three years of administrative support experience is required
- A record of providing excellent customer service is required.
- Excellent oral and interpersonal skills are required that includes a demonstrated record of building rapport with individuals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines are required.
- Excellent MS Office skills are required.
- Previous experience working with databases is preferred.
- Act 33/34 and FBI clearances are required.
